Am I eligible for Boiler Cover?

While we’re sure you agree that Boiler Cover is a great way to keep on top of any future repairs, unfortunately, it may not be an option for everyone.

Our insurance is only for homeowners whose properties are heated with natural gas. If you’re a landlord then you won’t qualify for this particular cover either, but we do offer a separate Landlord Boiler Cover which comes complete with a Gas Safety Certificate (CP12).

Common questions about our Boiler Cover

Does HomeServe cover older boilers?

We cover a wide range of boilers from new to old. When you take out our Boiler Cover we’ll complete a Boiler Health Check to make sure your boiler is safe and can be covered.

Which boiler brands does HomeServe cover?

We cover the majority of boiler brands like Baxi, Glow-worm, Ideal, Keston, Vaillant and Worcester Bosch. However, there are certain models within these brands which we don’t cover. This is why every boiler policy comes with a Boiler Health Check, where an engineer will review your boiler to see if it meets our eligibility requirements. We may not be able to cover your boiler if:

  • We do not cover the model
  • It has pre-existing issues
  • We’re unable to source parts for the boiler
  • The boiler requires maintenance or does not meet our standard requirements
