Boiler cover provides protection and assistance in case a boiler breakdown affects your home’s heating and hot water supply. It’s a way to avoid the potentially costly repair bills that you’d face in the event of a boiler breakdown.
In the event of an issue with your boiler, we send out a Gas Safe registered engineer to sort the problem and cover the price of any replacement parts as necessary (up to the value of £4000), all for the cost of your agreed excess.
With insurance in place you can relax, safe in the knowledge that we’ll be there when you need us. Whichever cover you choose, you’ll get 24/7 support, 365 days a year - so no matter when trouble arises, you can be confident we’ll be on hand to help.
Our boiler cover and heating breakdown cover products are for homeowners who live in houses, bungalows or flats, and whose homes are heated with natural gas.
We also offer a range of cover options designed specifically to provide protection for landlords and their properties in the event of a problem.
No heating or hot water? No worries! You can make an insurance claim at any time of the day or night, 365 days a year - so whenever you discover a problem, you can reach us and tell us what’s gone wrong.
Once that’s done, one of our Gas Safe registered Home Experts will soon be there to help get things up and running again. We always aim to fix your problem the first time, and all our gas repairs are guaranteed for 12 months.
Making a claim is easy. You can either claim online by logging into your MyHomeServe account or by calling 0330 0247 999*.

No. To be eligible for HomeServe boiler cover, the boiler(s) at your home must have a power input of less than 70kW and be fired by natural gas (not LPG, solid fuel, electricity or oil). The gas supply pipes to your gas boiler must also be 35mm or less in diameter.
For policies that include a boiler service, the price of the service is shown as FREE when compared to the equivalent cover without service
The boiler service is FREE in the first year only. Upon renewal, this is chargeable and will be included as standard in the cost of the policy.
