These boiler and heating breakdown insurance products are for homeowners who live in houses, bungalows or flats, and whose homes are heated with natural gas.
However, We also offer a range of cover options for landlords, however these are not eligible for the referral scheme.
For policies that include a boiler service, the price of the service is shown as FREE when compared to the equivalent cover without service
The boiler service is FREE in the first year only. Upon renewal, this is chargeable and will be included as standard in the cost of the policy.

As a HomeServe customer, once you have separately registered to join our Refer A Friend scheme, you can either
- Tell your friends/family in person
- Pass on a link to the offer by other messaging platforms such as email or SMS
For both you and your referred friend to be able to get your reward, they will need to use the link you have provided OR click “Been referred by a friend?” in the checkout once they have selected a qualifying policy they would like to purchase. A pop up will then appear where they can enter your full name.
If there is another person registered with the exact same name as you, your friends will be asked for your email address. It needs to be the email you used for your HomeServe policy.
Both you and your friend could receive a £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card if your referred friend takes out a qualifying policy and remains a HomeServe customer for at least 90 days.
The referred friend must take out one of the following policies for the reward to be valid:

- Heating & Plumbing
- Heating Plumbing & Electrics
- Heating Plumbing & Electrics Plus

Please note that the specific rewards on offer for the Refer A Friend programme may vary over time.
Unfortunately, only HomeServe customers can refer through our Refer A Friend scheme.
We will contact you by email when your Refer A Friend Amazon.co.uk Gift Card is ready to be claimed. Please note that it will take at least 90 days for your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card to be claimable to ensure the new referred friend is still a customer for at least 90 days.
If the referring friend isn’t signed up to the Refer A Friend scheme, we will be unable to successfully link the referral and reward.
If your referred friend doesn’t take out a qualifying product, neither you or your friend will be eligible for the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card.
If your referred friend takes out a qualifying product but cancels before 90 days, neither you or your friend will be eligible for the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card.
The Refer A Friend scheme is only available for products purchased online.

Customers are able to refer as many friends as they want but successful referrals will be capped at:
- No more than 5 successful referrals in any 24 hour period
- No more than 10 successful referrals in any 12 month period
- A maximum reward value of £1500 in any 12 month period
Mention Me is the Refer A Friend platform who HomeServe have partnered with to deliver the Refer A Friend Scheme.
Giftcloud is the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card platform who HomeServe have partnered with to deliver automatic Amazon.co.uk Gift Card fulfilment for the Refer A Friend Scheme.
Your reward claim link will be valid for 90 days.
Once claimed your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card must be used within 12 months of being claimed.
Existing HomeServe customers will need to manually register for the refer a friend scheme. They can do so by visiting www.homeserve.co.uk/refer-a-friend.
New HomeServe customers can register for the Refer A Friend scheme when confirming who’s referred them when clicking “Been referred by a friend?” in the checkout.
In Person
You can tell your friends and family about the scheme and ask them to enter your name once they have clicked “Been referred by a friend?” in the checkout. A pop up will then appear where they can enter your full name.
If there is another person registered with the exact same name as you, your friends will be asked for your email address. It needs to be the email you used for your HomeServe policy.
Other Methods
You can share your unique referral link via other messaging platforms such as email and SMS.
Your unique referral link can be found in the Refer A Friend dashboard which is accessible via a link sent to your email when first registering for the scheme.
Once registered, if the referred friends make a purchase online, the referral will be linked to you.
This could be a due to various reasons:
- It hasn’t been 90 days since the new referred friend purchased a product
- The new referred friend didn’t take out a qualifying product
- We were unable to find the friend who referred you because they hadn’t registered for the Refer A Friend scheme before the new referred friend purchased the product
If you are a referrer, you can manage your referrals with your Mention Me dashboard. This can be accessed via a link sent to your email when first registering for the scheme.

1. Employees of HomeServe and/or Mention Me or any of their associated companies are not eligible for this Offer.
2. The potential customer being referred to HomeServe (the “Referred Friend”) must have been a customer of HomeServe’s for at least 90 days (and paid all premiums due to date) before the £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card (the “Reward”) will be issued to the customer referring the friend (“Referrer”) and the Referred Friend. Rewards will be issued by email.
3. The Offer is valid only for Referred Friends who purchase the following products sold and administered by HomeServe:

5. The Referrer’s eligibility to earn Rewards is subject to: (i) no more than 5 referrals in any 24 hour period; (ii) no more than 10 referrals in any 12 month period; and (iii) a maximum value of Regards of £1500.
6. HomeServe reserves the right to substitute the Reward with a reward of equal or greater value in the event that the Reward cannot be provided. No cash alternative will be given.
7. The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer promoted by HomeServe.
8. Separate Amazon.co.uk terms and conditions will apply to the use of the Reward.
9. HomeServe reserves the right to change, alter or withdraw the Offer at any time.
10. If any of these terms and conditions are found to be void or unenforceable, that term or condition shall be deemed to be deleted and the remaining terms and conditions shall continue in full force and effect.
11. These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
